Another outdoor gig at the Balcony has been cancelled by wet, stormy, rainy/snowy weather; this one today, 5/5. Sorry for the late heads-up, but these early year outdoor gigs are all subject to this kind of possiblity! Thanks for your understanding. ~BG

Snow in April

Sure enough, it’s snowing as I write, so I won’t be at Balcony this evening. We’ve postponed it until Wednesday, 4/23. Weather is forecast to be a little more conducive to outdoor performance that day! Enjoy the Springtime Rocky Mountain snow!😀

Winter Weather coming in!

Hi Everyone! A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the Durango area for tomorrow, April 18. I have an outdoor Balcony gig scheduled; if that storm shows up like it’s suposed to, that gig probably isn’t going to happen. This type of situation comes up now and again, especially at outdoor venues. I will take it off the calendar if/when I get confirmation it is either postponed or cancelled. Just a heads up to all. March gigs listed

Hi everyone, just wanted to give a heads up that I’ve got the March gigs listed on the calendar. An unusual Ben Gibson Band performance (for winter; we don’t usually do band gigs in the winter) is at “Hidden Track” in Pagosa Springs on March 15. This will probably be done in an ‘unplugged’ format, to manage indoor volume, but should be a fun, raucous, rock-n-roll evening none-the-less! Slow time of the year for live music, but opportunities to see all three formats of Ben Gibson Music these upcoming weeks. All the duo configurations will be with Jim Belcher, bassist/vocalist extraordinaire, and the band gig with Jim and the one and only Ben Simpson on drums, percussion and vocals. New Website Welcome!

Hello, everyone, and welcome to my new website! It has taken a LONG time to get this up and running (apologies for the delay, all!) and if it wasn’t for my talented friend Karen, I doubt it would be up still. Thanks Karen!

This will be the place to check the calendar to see all the dates for Ben Gibson solo, duo and band. I will update this note section as the spirit moves me and will occasionally post videos and other stuff.
